Aging members of society need help maintaining their quality of life when they begin to struggle performing basic daily tasks. Not all are at the point where assisted living is necessary, however, and they want to maintain their independence for as long as possible.
Gotou is a same-day service application with an interface designed for aging members of our modern society. It is comprised of compassionate, background-checked locals that are ready to assist with seemingly monumental tasks and then some.
The goals for this project included understanding and connecting with an older target audience that is more tech-savvy than their parents before them, yet can still struggle to use and see their smart device screens at times.
Gotou's name was inspired by the Gotu kola plant. Also known as Centella asiatica, it is used in traditional Eastern medicinal practices to promote longevity.
